Man-made »cave temples« (rock-cut chambers used for religious purposes) at Idar (also: Ildurg), now in Sabarkantha district (IMPERIAL GAZETTEER 1907-1909, 13: 327-328). Idar N23°50': E73°00' (nima.mil/geonames accessed 16.11.2003) or Idar N23°50': E73°04' (IMPERIAL GAZETTEER 1907-1909, 13: 327-328). ETYMOLOGY: The Sanskrit noun "dar" is said to designate »cave« (note 1).
