Description
A possibly stoolish, dungish, excrementish, or scummish cave entrance without identified shape (about 1.5 by 0.5 m wide) or characteristics, was understood to face an unknown direction and has been surmised to give access to a kind of cave (Brooks, S J et al. 2009.02 Mss -Diary 2009.doc- Friday 13th February) or pothole (Brooks, undated 2009 June Mss amendment to Hardy 2009.02.13 Mss). Hardy (2009.02.12 Mss), having seen one aspect of the surfacial appearance of this item with her own eyes, decided that the -hole- matter is, literally quoted, a shaft parbally [sic!] blocked by boldes [sic!] at entrance.ETYMOLOGY: On the benevolant side (note 1), the Khasi -ka 'lamet- is a kind of leaf much used in packing things (SINGH, N 1906: 110). SITUATION: At an inexplicale location below Lelad (Hardy 2009.02.12 Mss) or, to be less vague, below the village (Brooks, S J et al. 2009.02 Mss -Diary 2009.doc- Friday 13th February) of Lelad (WGS84 N25°18'37”: E092°29'43”: 1079 m asl). CAVE DESCRITION (Hardy 2009.02.13 Mss): Approx. 1.5 x 0.5 m. Estimated depth of first pitch (?) 30 m.PROSPECTS: Neil Pacey nourished a prejudice according to which the entrance to this cave does not lead to cave passages that could be treated as an attractive sports training device insofar as … it is likely to drop into the bottom end of the Lelad system (Neil Pacey in: Brooks, S J et al. 2009.02 Mss -Diary 2009.doc- Friday 13th February).TION (Hardy 2009.02.13 Mss): Approx. 1.5 x 0.5 m.
