Description
Get sheltered, avoid awkward positions and secure fragile items before facing a 1 m by 1.5 m large dropping into water 2 m deep which was not only said to give access to a certain Lailak Puik and Lailuk Puik or, more likely, Lailak Pouk, but also was understood to represent a too tight resurgence (Tyler, A P 2001.05.11 Mss, 2001.10.11 Mss). IDENTITY: Unknown (note 1). ETYMOLOGY: The allegedly Hmar (Mizo) word -lailuk- (or so) signifies rather a bridge (note 2) than a gridge (Tyler, A P 2001.05.11 Mss) and we can safely assume that the unique -puik- is a typographical error (note 3) instead -pouk- (note 4).POSITION: Disputable (note 5). SITUATION: On the east bank of Lunar river, immediately north of the bridge connecting Khaddum to the National Highway (Tyler, A P 2001.05.11 Mss, 2001.10.11 Mss). CAVE DESCRIPTION: The entrance is a 1 m by 1.5 m large dropping into water 2 m deep. The passage divides. Ahead goes to a dry end, left continuous [sic! continues] for 15 m until it becomes to tight. Could be pushed by a thin person (Tyler, A P 2001.05.11 Mss, 2001.10.11 Mss).Get sheltered, avoid awkward positions and secure fragile items before facing a 1 m by 1.5 m large dropping into water 2 m deep which was not only said to give access to a certain Lailak Puik and Lailuk Puik or, more likely, Lailak Pouk, but also was understood to represent a too tight resurgence (Tyler, A P 2001.05.11 Mss, 2001.10.11 Mss).
