A stone-cut cave [man-made rock chamber] with a central column and raised platforms [note 1] on sides similar to those found elsewhere in the district (of Malabar, now in Kerala state) is situated in the neighborhood of megalithic hat-stones (note 2) in Edakkara [note 3] amsam, 10 miles [16 km] from Quilandi [note 4], and in Velur desam [note 5], Manikottaperamba (C.
