Description
Fauna
Fierscyclops tanaosriensis Boonyanusith, Brancelj et Sanoamuang, 2013 (Arthropoda, Crustacea, Maxilliopoda, Cyclopoida, Cyclopidae) û type locality (Boonyanusith et al. 2013)
At the far right-hand end of the limestone tower a stream enters the cliff. This can be followed along a spacious passage (up to 20 m wide) for approximately 200 m. The water sinks into a boulder pile and is seen later in a series of collapsed chamber which define the base of the tower. The upper dry levels of this cave contain some fine gours and wide sandy passages. There appears to be some confusion in the literature about the location of the caves in this area. It is a complex of caves located in Kaeo Sawan Bandan Cave Meditation Centre near a small mountain. Each cave has a specific name based on their characteristics; such as Badan Cave with knee-leveled water, Phopu Ruesi Cave, Kaeo Morakot Cave, Keao Sawan Bandan Cave, and Kaeo Cave with stalactites and stalagmites that glitter like a powder of diamond when light shines on them. Be careful when visiting some caves which have a sloping stone mound; also in some caves you have to kneel down and crawl. It takes at least 6 hours to visit all caves.
