AA CAVE (Harper 2008) no. 21

Description
A relatively small hole of unidentified size is not only said to give access to a relatively tight pitch developed in what appeared to be soil descending for an estimated 20 m but also believed to require 20 m rope to safeguard climb into (Harper, R C 2008.02.15 Mss: Cave No. 21.pdf). ETYMOLOGY: No locally known name has been identified for this comparatively small hole or doline and Cave no. 21 (note 1). SITUATION: a local guide [is] essential to explain the whereabouts of Cave No. 21 as this hole in soil was understood to lie somewhere on a path between Dikkakol and A’Sakol at a location on ridge to North West of one of the nine distinct Nengkhong villages (note 2) in the vicinity of the confluence (N25°18'13”: E090°36'52” WGS84) of the Chibe River and the Rongdik (after Harper, Rob 2008.02.15 Mss: Cave No. 21.pdf). According to the recorded GPS position (note 3), however, Cave No. 21 (Harper 2008) does not lie between –>Dikkakol and –>Asakol but south-east from both of these caes and at linear distances of 96 m north-east from –>Janta Dobhakol, 413 m south-east from –>Asakol, and 774 m south-east from –>Dikkakol.HOLE DESCRIPTION: A small hole by the side of the path between Dikkakol and A’Sakol was investigated to reveal a tight pitch developed in what appeared to be soil descending for an estimated 20 m but not pushed to any conclusion (Harper 2008.02.15 Mss: Cave No. 21.pdf). TACKLE: 20 m rope to safeguard climb into doline might be advisable (Harper 2008.02.15 Mss: Cave No. 21.pdf). SPELEOMETRY: It only takes a little superhuman space warping efforts to combine 20 m est LENGTH with DEPTH: 30m est (Harper 2008.02.15 Mss: Cave No. 21.pdf) but then we have to consider that the -survey- method used was peeping down a hole.A relatively small hole of unidentified size is not only said to give access to a relatively tight pitch developed in what appeared to be soil descending for an estimated 20 m but also believed to require 20 m rope to safeguard climb into (Harper, R C 2008.02.15 Mss: Cave No. 21.pdf).
