Description
An about 3 m long (NW-SE) and up to a metre wide cave entrance between dislocated boulders gives access to shaft which descends roughly 10 m down to a more or less horizontally north-south trending rift cave passage that pinches out at both continuations. ETYMOLOGY: No autochthonous, indigenous or locally known name has been identified for what was perceived as a »small dry cave« (Brooks, S J 1999 Meghalaya Diary 99.doc Friday 5th February) which was found while searching for an enigmatic but big wet cave, namely –>Thlea Phok Pouk alias Wind Cave. SITUATION: Somewhere opposite across from the village of Khaddum (25°09'15”N: 92°26'47”E: 108 m) and above the forest-clad orographically left (locally southern) bank of the Lukha River.

EXPLORATION HISTORY: 1999.02.05: 1999.02.05: Oskin Nongtdu from Khaddum took Simon J. Brooks and Fraser E. Simpson into fairly dense vegetation where they found a small dry cave instead the bif wet –>Thlea Phok Pouk: »Friday 5th February … Lukha - Fraser and Simon try and fail to locate Wind Cave, but located a small dry cave was explored for 40 m« (Brooks, S J 1999 Meghalaya Diary 99.doc).
