Description
One, two or more unspecified caves / rock shelters without identified nature, character or dimensions are said to be situated in the hillside somewhere in the vicinity of Balutota (Brooks 1995 Mss) or Bulutota (note 1) where several plumbago (graphite) mines have been reported (note 2). ETYMOLOGY: The Sinhala -tota- is a ford (COOK 1931: 347).
