ETYMOLOGY: The Khasi noun "ka kriah" is one of the words for a kind of »a sieve« (SINGH, N 1906: 48) or »a basket« (SINGH, N 1906: 48; BLAH, E 2007: 26) whilst "kriah-khria" (adjective) means »many and small« (SINGH, N 1906: 35). »Translation: Krem Kriah, Cave of the basket« (Smart, C M 2013.03.11 "The definitive list of the caves of Syndai" after G. Parleyfort Pamthied, Syndai). SITUATION: Unknown. At an unidentified location and in an unspecified setting somewhere in the vicinity of the village of Syndai (±1 km N25°10': E092°08'30”: circa (±200 m) 500 m asl WGS84) or, if you prefer, simply »Located at Syndai village« (BAZELY, P J 1992, 2: 73; LALOO, S S 1995a: 4, 1995b: 4).
