What appears to be a river cave (note 1), allegedly a few hundred metres long and taking most of the river Seti (Seti Gandaki), is mentioned in a rafting and kayaking guidebook (note 2): The current ripped and tore its way into a small cleft with a loud roar and disappeared underground. The river emerged a few hundred metres downstream, but at a lower level. It appeared, that in high water, all the flow wouldn't make it down the sump and the river backed up and formed a lake, whirlpool, and waterfall (KNOWLES & ALLARDICE 1992: 122).
