Description
Either a rock shelter (gala) (DERANIYAGALA 1965: 144) or a large cave containing inscriptions (rock art: epigraphy) lies on the western face of the rock (CEYLON TRAVELLER 1983: 236) of the -Town's Rock- known as Nuvara gala (DERANIYAGALA 1965) and Nuwaragala (N07°29': E081°26').
