Description
An unspecified cave entrance (unidentified shape, unidentified dimensions, unidentified orientation, unidentified characteristics) give access to one of the most famous caves of Meghalaya. SITUATION: At an unidentified base of Lum Symper where »A well defined path that is partly cobbled leads to the caves« (BROOKS & SMART 1995: 31). LOCATION: In an unidentified spatial relation to the two other Lumsymper Caves or Lum Symper Caves. POSITION: At a spot without any recorded GPS reading. CAVE DESCRIPTION 1992.1: »Cave has made path to it. Consists of a single flat floored sandy whirlpool chamber, domed roof breaking into a conglomerate bed« (Smart 1994 Mss: notebook). CAVE DESCRIPTION 1995.2: »… a [relatively] large 30 metre diameter swirl chamber cut into sandstone« (BROOKS & SMART 1995: 15). CAVE DESCRIPTION 1995.2: »A 27 m diameter whirlpool chamber in sandstone rising to 8 m high in centre. No extensions« (BROOKS & SMART 1995: 31).

EXPLORATION HISTORY: 1994.02.08: Christopher M. Smart, Boycott, Antony 'Tony', Rob Harper and Helen Harper followed what was taken as »their taxi driver and guide, Mr. Khan« (SMART & BROOKS 1995: 15) and fully visited and sort of "surveyed" (sportsmen standards) to a degree yielding an estimated distance in the range of 35 m.
