DOCRIANI BAMAK GLACIER CAVES (Cave of)
29.616700,79.666700
Description
Internet websites provide a photograph (note 1) showing the walled-off and seriously iron-grilled cave entrance to what is called a »cave« and seems to represent a modified natural temple cave or inhabitable rock shelter associated with a religious worker titled Mahavatar Babaji (note 2). SITUATION: Apparently somewhere in Almora district and in the vicinity of a place called »Pandhukholi« which some Internet websites care to corrupt into »Pndakholi« (sic!). To get there, requires being carried or even to walk on foot.
NOTE 1: uttarakhand.ws/v/open-members/cmkaira/pandhukholi-… (accessed 2011.06.07). NOTE 2: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahavatar_Babaji (accessed 2011.06.07) wants to make us believe that Mahavatar Babaji was born in 1861 and died at an age of 134 years in 1995.
