Description
Several modified, drip-ledged caves (note 1), which possibly consist of modified natural rock shelters, contain paintings (rock art) of the Kandy Period while a five-foot fragment of a Buddha torso, minus legs, lies by the cave (CEYLON TRAVELLER 1974, 1983: 106).
