No Brahmanical structural temples of that age [Early Chalukya, circa 660 to 754 AD] have survived in Maharashtra, but there are some Brahmanical cave temples at Ellora such as the Dashavatara cave [Das Avatara, Ellora Cave 15], the Ravana-ki-khai [Ellora Cave 14] and the Dumar lena [Ellora Cave 29], which belong to this period. These caves are noteworthy for their exquisitely modelled figures (note 1).
