An cave entrance with no specified shape and dimensions, which faces an unspecified direction, gives access to interconnected rift passages. ETYMOLOGY: No locally known cave name has been identified for what was nicknamed -Cave of Dikgen Mark- (alienated: Dikgen Marak Kol) or -Cave of Dipen Marak- (alienated: Dipen Marak Kol) in honour of a cave guide called Dikgen Marak (Harper 2008.02.07 Mss: Dikgen Marak KOI.pdf) or Dipen Marak (Harper 2008.02.09: Janta Dobhakol.pdf). SITUATION: In a small depression [note 1] at the top of a line of small limestone cliffs on the left [no direction mentioned] at about 1 km along the footpath from [from an unspecified spot somewhere at one of the villages of] Asakgre to Chokpot (Harper 2008.02.07 Mss: Dikgen Marak KOI.pdf), The recorded GPS position (note 2) indicates a spot which lies to the south of the motorable track from the village of Asakgre to Chokpot (note 3) and at a linear distance of exactly 1,400 m due west from the meadow in front of th I.B. (inspection bungalow) at Asakgre Imandura Banda (note 4). CAVE DESCRIPTION (K. Sanderson and S. McManus in: Harper, Rob 2008.02.07 Mss: Dikgen Marak KOI): From a small chamber at the entrance a 10 m [estimated] deep rift can be followed for an estimated 15 m to a crossroads. Ahead is choked with boulders. Right is a small rift, containing a resident rat, which was not entered but seen to diminish in size. Left is a slightly larger rift passage to another crossroads at which left and straight on are choked and to the right an increasingly narrow rift descends. I.B.
