An unspecified temple cave or rock shelter, which is sacred to Dattatreya (note 1), is said to be situated somewhere in the Nagarjunasagar Tiger Reserve (Nagarjunasagar Srisailam Wildlife Sanctuary) above the above the orographically left (locally north-western) bank of the river Krishna Ganga upstream of Srisailam / Srisailem (N16°05': E78°52').
