Description
An approximately 1 m wide hole leads to an estimated 4 m deep rift cave in a bedded and apparently -sandy- limestone. ETYMOLOGY: No autochthonous, indigenous or locally known name has been identified for what has been instantly christened -Pottery Rift- disguised as -Kroh Khiew Khyndew- (note 1) or -Kroh Khra- (note 2). Lizzie [Elizabeth] Elvidge (2000.02.22 Mss), however, arrived at an interesting Krem Kheawkhra (Cave of Crevisses Pottery) and BOYES, P W (2000 s.a.: 11) created the even more interesting Krem Kheawkhraa. SITUATION: Both Lizzie [Elizabeth] Elvidge (2000.02.22 Mss) and BOYES, P W (2000 s.a.: 11) understood that the entrance to this cave lies somewhere (note 3) and in a unspecified spatial relation near (sic!) to an unidentified village of Mawriang (without GPS position) which, by the way, translates as -Stones in a Row- (aligned rocks) -- as if indicating a row of standing stones (menhirs).
