The suspicious place name »Nayala Bilamu« (naya = new, bilam = cave, bilamu = caves) is indicated near N14°59'45”: E78°03'45” (Everest 1830) on the Survey of India sheet 57-J/01 (edition 1978) in an area at linear distances of about 13 km approximately north-east of Tadpatri (N14°55': E78°01') and 5 km approximately north of Talericheruvu (N14°57': E78°04') and the –>Nela Bilam there. GEOLOGY: »In some ridges where quartzite has been stripped away, rounded patches of shale rest upon the limestone platforms, or where shale has been completely removed flat-topped limestone hillocks are prominent, as at Nayala Bilamu (15°0': 78°4')« (DUTT 1955: 119).
