Description

Herbert Daniel Gebauer - 15/07/2016

Most of the known "dark spots" on Mount Bragpoche represent cave entrances that are more ore less horizontally pronounced: wider than high. There is, of course, one exception: a rift entrance in the lower part of a layerhead exposing arenaceous limestone (Rhät) at circa 4500 m asl (barometric). The more than 2 m high and up to 1 m wide rift entrance leads to what may be considered a by-far-no-cave-yet, decreasing from an ample man-sized opening --as fast as a trombone-- to a thumb wide fissure less than 2 m in.
