In a shallow, blind valley. Martin Ellis - 17/09/2019

Description

The cave is a seasonal swallet cave. The cave has captured the stream just above its junction with a larger south-trending valley that swings to the southeast and drains into Huai Khli Ti. The valley has not been investigated beyond the sink. The active stream entrance is triangular in shape, about 2m high and wide. Adjacent to this entrance there is an oval-shaped fossil entrance. For the first 35m the passage is approximately 1-2m high and wide. The cave then curves to the left, becomes wider and the floor gradient increases. A couple of short drops are then encountered. The second of these was not descended because of bad air, but the passage appears to continue. Much of the cave has a bedrock floor and appears to have been well flushed out. There was no flowing water in the cave in April 1996, but two shallow pools not far in suggest the stream had been recently flowing. Some 30m from the entrance a group of about 30 bats was observed on a wall about 1m above floor level. There were also several small cream coloured spiders on the floor in this area.
