Description
A relatively wide opening (cave entrance) of unknown size (unidentified shape, unidentified orientation, unidentified characteristics) is said to give access to an estimated 50 m long cave passage, which ascends an estimated 10 m from the cave entrance. ETYMOLOGY: The East Pahari (Gorkhali, Nepali) -chamere dhulo kharbare- (ADHIKARI, H 2011: 15) appears to translate as Lair [note 1] of really very many [note 2] bats. I do not know what the alternative cave name -Arbhu Gufa- (ADHIKARI, H 2011: 15) means (note 3). SITUATION: Argali V.D.C., N 27°55’03.0”, E 083°28’16.3”, elevation 553 m, cave … situated on the private grassland land of a person. The cave lies on the right hand side of the Tamghas Highway, (at the border of Argali V.D.C), 2 km away along the earthen road which starts from the border, right to the small stream that follows the road (ADHIKARI, H 2011: 15). CAVE DESCRIPTION: The cave is 50 meter long with wide opening and goes upward around 10 meters from the opening of the ave (ADHIKARI, H 2011: 15). CAVE LIFE - bats (Chiroptera): Two species were found in huge numbers inside the cave. Specimens of Miniopterus schreibersii (NaReCon 20.03.2009.01) and Hipposideros armiger (NaReCon 21.03.2009.02; NaReCon 21.03.2009.03) were prepared [note 4] (ADHIKARI, H 2011: 15).ave (ADHIKARI, H 2011: 15).
