Location
The cave is about 1.5km south of Ban Daen Din in the valley of the Nam Mae Pam. From the H1346 cross on the right a small fence and head due north towards the cliff. There is a sign in Thai at the start of the track across the field to the cave. A path leads to the fossil resurgence entrance. Description
The wide entrance opens onto a medium sized passage. To the left of the entrance a small passage ascends rapidly. Some low crawling passages lead to the climbs that drop into a spacious chamber with a diameter of about 5 m. The way on is either a climb or via a low passage. One then arrives in a flat gallery that precedes a large boulder choke covered in black bat guano. The boulder choke is easily climbed, but one soon stumbles upon a descent that requires the use of equipment. This passage is bypassed by climbing down a few boulders at the start of the choke and one then joins the sandy floor of the gallery which bypasses the choke along the right hand wall. One leaves the boulder choke behind, but the gallery has a new barrier with a second cluster of boulders not much further on. This obstacle has not been explored because of abundant CO2. Beaware that the air current tends to cause one to forget about the amount of CO2.
