What seems to be an inhabitable -cave- or rockshelter, has been recommended as a halting place on the route from Khatmanda [note 1] to Kooti [note 2] and Shikargong [note 3] … as compiled by Colonel KIRKPATRICK, W J (1811: 320-322) between 13th February and 3rd April 1793 after orally transmitted intelligence. ETYMOLOGY: Salia-ooral (or goopah) [note 4] (KIRKPATRICK, W J 1811: 321), are spelling versions of what is currently (late 20th and early 21st century, common era) clothed in Latin letters as Salia Odar and Salia Gupha. SITUATION: At an estimated travelling distance of 7 ghurries (note 5) or three to four hours beyond (north) of Khussa-goomba (note 6) and 6 ghurries short of (south) crossing the Bhysia-khola (KIRKPATRICK, W J 1811: 321).
