The so-called Duggi Caves (note 1) are suspected --but his is mere guesswork-- to consist of but a single rock shelter regarded as a cave sufficient for 15 persons. SITUATION: On the trekking route (ten days or so) from Kugti at 2640 m asl (note 2), 13 km to Duggi Caves at 3354 m (note 3), 12 km to Alyas at 3660 m (note 5), 15 km across Marhu Pass (4365 m asl) to Khardu (3550 m) and 14 km to Shansha (N32°38': E76°54': 2950 m) from where one can take a bus (7 hours) to Keylong (N32°35': E77°02': 2050 m) and another bus (7 hours) to Manali (2050 m).The so-called Duggi Caves (note 1) are suspected --but his is mere guesswork-- to consist of but a single rock shelter regarded as a cave sufficient for 15 persons.
