Description
What appears to represent a temple cave associated with a certain Navila Swami (note 1) is said to contain not only a relatively large lingam but also unspecified ceiling pendants which, perhaps, consist of stalactite speleothems (mere guesswork). SITUATION (after M. Shiva Kumar 2004.02.21 personal communication): Somewhere in the vicinity of one Navila Swami temple (with spring of water), which is said to lie about 3.5 km approximately south-east of S.B. Halli or Subbaranayahalli (note 2), which itself, accessible by public bus, lies at a travelling distance of 12 km along the road approximately south from the town of Sandur (N15°05': E76°33'). CAVE DESCRIPTION (after M.
