Most of the cave consists of a 5 m wide, up to 4 m high and 6 m long entrance chamber lit by daylight. In the very back of this chamber enter two tributary passages, obviously of solutional origin, both from the south and the north. The norhern passage narrows down from 1.5 m in height and 0.7 m in width at a distance of less than 2 m to a too low gap. The southern passage starts 1.7 m wide, up to 2.5 m and slightly meandering, can be followed for 7 m to a point where the continously rising floor almost touches the close to horizontal ceiling. Occasionally flowing water seems to enter the cave by this way. The cave is developed in a dirty, multiple layered limestone, probably of Jurassic age. SITUATION: Attention: The coordinates N28°59': E083°50' are estimated! Taking the lower trail from Syangmoche to Samar (–>Chubshi Rangjoin Phug and the relevant location map), the valley narrows to a gorge. Just before the gorge is entered, an up to 5 m wide and high cave entrance is located t the foot of the vertical cliff above the right (eastern) bank of Syangmoche chu. CULTURAL HISTORY - Archaeology: The site might be interesting from a prehistorical point of view. Dry walls in front of the cave, traces of fires and a pile of wood hidden in the back of the southern passage of the cave hint to human use of the site as a shelter in recent times.
