Abbottabad.SITUATION: There exists no Nawan Sehr (Ducluzaux, passim) in Pakistan (note 3) but Nawan Shahr (N34°14'35”: E073°03' nima.mil/geonames accessed 16.11.2003) or Nowshahra (AMS sheet NI43-05 Mardan, U502 series, 1958 edition) lies at a travelling distance of about 16 km or 18 km along the road from Abbottabad (note 4) approximately south-west towards Rawalpindi.
