-- The cave can be reached from the village of Banthali in about 45 minutes. Follow the road signs to the cave Tham Tia for about 15 minutes until a shed can be seen in a small valley. Take a little footpath to the right before this shed and follow the path towards the mountain for about 15 minutes. History: Explo history: -- 19.11.2000 explored and surveyed to 105 m by AMIS Laos Expedition 2000 (NL) [5158] Cave description: Citation: Analysis: [5158]: Birthday Cave has two small entrances – one is a 0.5 m wide and 5 m deep crack. Somewhat lower one finds another hole in the ground surrounded by rocks. Both entrances join at the bottom of the crack. Birthday Cave is mainly vertical with a few subordinate side leads. Following the main crack and the breakdown one will reach the bottom of the cave which does not require vertical gear. The floor in the lowest part of the crack is sandy.
