Description
A dry, more than 100 m long gour dam somewhere on the Maheshkhola River, was constructed, according to legend, by the hero Bandi, the brother of Dikki (MARAK 2000: 61, photograph 28 without scale). Along the same lines, GUPTA & SHARMA (s.a. circa 2004 ±2) list among the more than 45 interesting sites that reflect the uniqueness of the Balphakram (Balpakram), the Bandini nagil: A deep pool believed to be the fishing pond of Bandi, a legendary hero.
