Description
General description
Fletcher dived in very clear water to a 5m from the surface pool to wher the passage narrowed and a line junction. Right at the junction led to a descending wriggle to the top of a long narrow rift divided by a vertical wall of rock. Following the line down here the rift drops to -11m and heads back towards the entrance, but closes in a couple of metres further on. Tying on a line reel Fletcher explored the other side of the dividing wall. Although the rift here is much longer it is only body width. The diver descended a body length and could see down a further 10m. A strong flow of water comes up from here. Back at the line junction at the bottom of the entrance slope the existing line was followed in the other direction. This ascended to -2m where it emerged in a fine bedding passage 4m wide by 1m high with black limestone walls and roof decorated with white marbling and plenty of underwater stals and flowstone. 6m further on another line junction was met. This was descended to a depth of 8m where the line ended, but the passage continued on down through some very dodgy, but big boulders, again with a strong flow coming out (this passage ends at a depth of -37m). Back on the main line a further junction was reached 3m further on which ended at 6m in a silty alcove. Straight on the main line ended 10m further on in a beautifully decorated airbell with no way on. Partially calcited tree routes hang from the roof here.

History
The cave was originally explored by Joon H. Park and colleagues, who named it Tham Kansai after Mr Sark Kansai who owns the site and had been helping him with his explorations. The Koreans also dived another nearby cave. Alex Fletcher dived the cave in December 2008, finding Joon Park's line and markers. A Czech diver extended the sump to a depth of 37meters.
