BABA BUDAN GIRI: SIDDHA CAVE 1

The first of altogether three unspecified caves dedicated to three Sidhas containing their icons is advertised as another place of interest which attracts customers because the enthralling scenery around makes this a much frequented pilgrim center (reckonindia.com/tourism accessed 2006.06.29). SITUATION: At an unidentified location somewhere in the Baba Budan Range / Baba Budan Hills (N13°30': E75°45'), and thus more or less 26 km along the road approximately north from Chikmagalur (Chikmugalur, formerly Kadur N13°19': E75°46'30-). SETTING: A short distance from here are the three waterfalls with epic associations, namely Gada Theertha, Nallikavi Theertha and Kamana Theertha (reckonindia.com/tourism accessed 2006.06.29).
