MUPUD 6 (Brooks 2009) (Krem)
25.344400,92.497200
Description
One more doline without specified shape or size gives access to some 32 m of cave passage, a crawl, and a too tight squeeze. ETYMOLOGY (Brooks, S J et al. 2009.02 Mss -Diary 2009.doc- Thursday 19th): Named Mooput 6 (sic!) instead of Krem Mupud 6. SITUATION (Brooks, S J et al. 2009.02 Mss -Diary 2009.doc- Thursday 19th): In an unspecified spatial relation nearby Krem –>Mupud 5 (Jarratt 2003) and Krem –>Mupud 5a (Brooks 2009). POSITION: According to Arbenz, T (2009.06.01 Mss: total 2009.xls), the three distinct cave entrances to Krem Moopud 5/5A and Krem Moopud 6 are all positioned near N25°20'37.7”: E092°29'51.4”: 1113 m as if the three distinct voids would occupy one and the same space. This seems to be unlikely. CAVE DESCRIPTION (Brooks, S J et al. 2009.02 Mss -Diary 2009.doc- Thursday 19th): 32 m of cave passage, the most interesting of which was a low crawl with good draft [sic! qua: draught] that ended in [sic! qua: led to] a too tight squeeze. SPELEOMETRY: Arbenz, T (2009.06.1 Mss: total 2009.xls) counts not only the Moopud 5/5A but also Moopud 6 as one and lists the survey lengths 16.48 m (16.02.2009) and 78.44 m (19.02.2009) adding up to 94.92 m (survey 2009 = total 2009). CAVE CLIMATE: Simon J. Brooks, Peter Ludwig and Pankaj Rai noticed on 19th February 2009 a noteworthy air current (no time mentioned) but recorded good draft (Brooks, S J et al. 2009.02 Mss -Diary 2009.doc- Thursday 19th).

EXPLORATION HISTORY: 2009.02.19: Simon J. Brooks, Peter Ludwig and Pankaj Rai (Seaman 1st Class, Indian Navy), in company with Brian D. An attempt to locate Mooput 5 [Krem –>Mupud 5 Jarratt 2003] revealed a new doline named Mooput 6 (Brooks, S J et al. 2009.02 Mss 'Diary 2009.doc' Thursday 19th).
