Location
From the road just north of Ban Sam Phu Thong Nua a track leads to a park ranger station beside a pool. Before the pool a track goes off to the right and ends at the base of the hill. A track to the left leads to a tufa waterfall after a couple of hundred metres. Another path to the right leads up the slope to a wide valley with a dry stream bed.
Description
The tufa waterfall is at the base of a 30m cliff. In February 2009 a small trickle of water resurged from under the 5m high upper tufa dam. It appears that in the rainy season the stream flows over the top of the cliff. Based on the petrified vegetation the water may also fountain out of the tufa dams.
