Description
An unidentified and elusive but allegedly draughting vertical cave (pothole) with a waterfall. ETYMOLOGY: Unknown. The origin, history and meaning of the Hmar (Mizo) cave name »Thlea Phok Pouk« (Zuala Ralsun, Khaddum, 1999.02.03 personal communication) has not yet been identified. SITUATION: Unknown. Somewhere opposite across from the village of Khaddum (25°09'15”N: 92°26'47”E: 108 m) and above the forest-clad orographically left (locally southern) bank of the Lukha River.
History
EXPLORATION HISTORY: 1999.02.03: Zuala Ralsun from Khaddum mentioned the cave name Thlea Phok Pouk. 1999.02.05: Oskin Nongtdu from Khaddum guided Simon J. Brooks, Brian D. Kharpran Daly and Fraser E. Simpson into fairly dense greenery where they found much foliage and plants or vegetation but no pothole with a waterfall and draught (air current) in a constricted space.
