Description

Herbert Daniel Gebauer - 06/01/2018

An unspecified cave called Krem Tyrlien is said to be situated somewhere below Daistong village and at the western foot of the Nongkhlieh ridge above the right (eastern) bank of the Litang valley (Rud Sukhlain 2001.02.09, personal communication). ETYMOLOGY: The Khasi or Synteng expression -tyr- as such is not understood — -u tyra- would be a species of small bamboo (SINGH, N 1906: 240) while -lien- means like many people walking (SINGH, N 1906: 116): Is it pinnacle karst?
