Description
A row of several south-facing and relatively small cave entrances (apparently less than a metre wide and high, roughly circular in shape) lie pretty close to each other in the face of a comparatively shallow outcrop of flaggy Narji Limestone, have not yet been mapped but are said to give access to more than 10 m of most likely horizontal cave passages (DAR, PERRIN et al. 2011.02.02 Mss table 1 item C-4). ETYMOLOGY: No autochthonous, indigenous or locally known cave name has been identified for what has been christened »Bugga Caves« (GEBAUER & ABELE 1983d) and »Bugga Guhalu« (DAR, PERRIN et al. 2011.02.02 Mss table 1, item C-4). SITUATION: Adjacent north of the road and a few hundred metres short of the top of the ghat ascending from the cross-road hamlet of Bugga (N15°00'28”: E078°01'00” Everest 1830) generally north-east to Ankireddypalle (N15°01'28”: E078°02'38” Everest 1830).
