Somewhere in the village of Laitsohum [note 3], which is about 5 km from Mawsynram on the way to Lawbah [note 4] (Kharpran Daly, B D 2015.09.19 Mss). CAVE POTENTIAL: Unknown. Somewhere around is Krem Puri and -- but closer to the village called after an obtrusive pig, namely Kyntursniang (25°16'30”N: 91°34'08”E) -- is a so-called Krem Kynto Sriang (note 5) or, more likely, Krem hajan –>Kyntursniang (allegedly near ±5 m [bogus?] 25°16'27.7”N: 91°3'15.1”E: 1350 m). CULTURAL HISTORY - cave legend: Unknown. The cave name, however, can be interpreted to signal a tradition which narrates a tale that features an awe-inspiring genius, personality or spirit and, perhaps, his consort from Krem –>Puri. An unspecified cave entrance (unidentified shape, unidentified dimensions, unidentified orientation, unidentified characteristics) is said to give access to an unidentified cave (Kharpran Daly, B D 2015.09.19 Mss). History

EXPLORATION HISTORY: 2015.09.19: Brian Dermot Kharpran Daly had been informed of two caves in the village of Laitsohum, which is about 5km from Mawsynram on the way to Lawbah - Krem Maduri and Krem Puri. I was told that Krem Puri is the bigger one with many side passages. I would probably visit the caves in November when the rains have stopped. This year we have been having bountiful rain which has eased my work of watering the plants (Kharpran Daly, B D 2015.09.19 Mss). Herbert Daniel Gebauer - 06/01/2018
