What appears to be a spring of sulphurous water depositing travertine reported MARAK (2000: 54-55, photo 23) from somewhere north of Balphakram (Balpakram): When [the legendary hero] Bandi killed the wild pig Wakmangganchi Aragondi, whose skin was four inches thick, he washed the boar's intestines in this stream … Due to the bad smell and white patches [calcareous deposits?] resembling intestines [gour dams?], this place is known as -Wakso Chiring- or stream of rotten intestines of pig. GUPTA & SHARMA (s.a. circa 2004 ±2) list among the more than 45 interesting sites that reflect the uniqueness of this area (Balphakram / Balpakram), the item Wakso Chiring: One stream in the northern side of Balphakram resembles the intestines of the pig and has a very bad rotten smell. The legend says that when Bandi defeated the monster Wakmangganchi Aragondi, he pulled out its intestine and washed here. Hence the horrible stink of the rotten intestine.
