Doline with shaft on east side (Brooks 2006 undated Mss amendments to McNally 2006.02.26 Mss: Krem Jalaban) named after tree at entrance (McNally 2006.02.26 Mss: Krem Jalaban). ETYMOLOGY: The Khasi verb -jah- means to loose, to be deprived of (SINGH, N 1906: 96) and hence --in connection with kshait / um / wah / etc. may be found applied to a sink (insurgence, ponor). SITUATION 1: At an unknown location somewhere (note 1) on Lumthari / Moolesngi area (Brooks 2006 undated Mss amendments to McNally 2006.02.26). SITUATION 2: McNally (2006.02.26 Mss) attempts to make believe this Krem Labbit 1 (Moolesngi) could be reached by following his inadequate and incomplete but nevertheless error-stricken directions (note 2), which command, literally quoted: Start at standing stones on ridge [Shnongrim Ridge] at N. 25-22-07.5 E 92-32-39.4 [note 3] head down [in an unidentified direction for an unspecified distance] towards cave at GPS above [note 4]. EXPLORATION HISTORY: 2006.02.26: Ekna Sukhlain guided Brian D. Kharpran Daly, Terence 'Terry' Whitaker, Henry Penney and Desmond 'Des' McNally (2006.02.26 Mss: 'Krem Jalaban' 26/2/06) to the entrance of what they understood to be called Krem Jalaban. 2007.02.03: Tony [Boycott, Antony 'Tony'] and Jane [Jayne Stead] recce’d some other shafts in the area, but weren’t sure which had been looked at by Terry [Terence Whitaker] last year (Brooks 2007.03.01 Mss: Diary2007.doc).
