Description
»Rock shelters« or caves containing rock art reported GOSH (1957: 13-14) from the northern bank of a »nullah« (nala, seasonal stream; no name mentioned) immediately north of a certain »Kandakot« (note 1) somewhere in »Mirzapur district« (now Chandauli district, Mirzapur district, and Sonbhadra district).
NOTE 1: »Kandakot« (GOSH 1957: 13-14) seems to correspond to the temple-crowned hill »Kandakot 441« near N24°38'00”: E083°00'10”: 441 m asl (Everest 1830) on the Survey of India sheet 63-P/02 (edition 1971) and in the India Road Atlas (Eicher Goodearth 2006: 57 G2).
