Unspecified cave entrances (unidentified shape, unidentified dimensions, unidentified orientation, unidentified characteristics) were said to give access to unidentified caves (no names mentioned) that had been noticed by unidentified references (BROOKS & SMART 1995: 15). ETYMOLOGY: No autochthonous, indigenous or locally known name has been identified for what has been recorded as anonymous caves (BROOKS & SMART 1995: 15). EXPLORATION HISTORY: 1992 November: Simon J. Brooks, Christopher M. Smart, Rob Harper and Helen Harper, who had been driven by a local taxi driver, by the name of Mr Noro (BROOKS & SMART 1995: 9) from Shillong to Mawsynram, understood that investigations in 1992 had indicated that there was likely to me more cave to be found in an unspecified the Mawsynram area (BROOKS & SMART 1995: 15). 1994 February: Christopher M. Smart, Boycott, Antony 'Tony', Rob Harper and Helen Harper, who were in company with what was taken as their the taxi driver and guide, Mr. Khan (SMART & BROOKS 1995: 15) learned that the area was not easily accessible (no roads) so was not visited (BROOKS & SMART 1995: 15).
