An unspecified Jaltirtha cave of dubious nature and character reports the generally deranged Manvesh DUTT (s.a. circa 2005: 37-38) from somewhere on the Brahmagiri mountain above Trimbak (note 1): In the upper area of the Brihmagiri [sic!] mountain is the place of origin of the sacred, holy and ancient river Godawari [Godavari]. Within the way are the huge gates made of stones, old place covered the Jaltirtha cave, Devalay (home of the Gods), with big trees for relax, everything covered with twigs of trees, woods of bamboo, sweet of colourful birds and lots of other heart pleasing things that make the visitor full of thrill and excited. The Saint Nivratti Nathji travelled in this area and suddenly Vyaghraj make after him, thus running Nivrattinathji entered into a cave. Here in the cave he got the glimpse and association of the great sage Gahininathji. Vyaghra is the symbol of prosperity of biologial variousness of that woods. History

EXPLORATION HISTORY: 2007.02.16: Andre Abele, in company with H. D. Gebauer (in the role of an oustanding cave explorer), ducked in, looked around, listened politely to a verbose flow of Marathi speach by an undisturbed pandit (temple guide) and left to give space for pilgrims queuing outside.
