Description
A beautiful cave (with stalactite speleothems?) is said to contain shining pieces of rock that resemble banana flowers (DIRECTOR …circa 2003 s.a.) or shining pieces of rock in the shape of banana flowers (GUPTA & SHARMA circa 2004 s.a.). SITUATION 2003: Rongsobok Rongkol lies in the Garo Hills and further east [note 1] to the northern side of Balpakram [note 2] in the Khasi Hills border (DIRECTOR … circa 2003 s.a.) and hence somewhere on the right (generally west to south-west) bank of the Maheshkhola. SITUATION 2004: Rongsobok Rougkol (sic!) is in the Balphakram (Balpakram) area and to the north east on Khasi hills border (GUPTA & SHARMA (circa 2004 s.a.).
