Description
A relatively large doline without specified dimensions or comparison for scale (note 1) once (15th February 2010) had been characterised by what was interpreted as a path with red paint leading to it (Anonymous et al. 2010.03.29 Mss: Diary (current) 2010.doc: 15th February). ETYMOLOGY: No autochthonous, indigenous or locally known name has been identified for this closed depression without identified shape or dimensions (Anonymous et al. 2010.03.29 Mss: Diary (current) 2010.doc: 15th February) which is indicated on Pala_Ridge_4-10.pdf (Arbenz, T 2010.03.31 cave distribution map) as an about 35 m wide, circular, and anonymous doline near 25°24'44.5”N: 92°36'47.0”E. SITUATION: Indicated simply as doline (Arbenz, T 2011.04.24 map: Pala relief_2011.pdf) at a location above the locally south (orographically left) bank of the Kopili River, Bridget Hall and Chris Densham noticed their relatively large doline of unidentified size not only in an area east and allegedly south of the two canons (Lymoh gorge, Enle gorge) --where it does not lie-- but also at the end of the day --where it lies till today (Bridget E. Hall & Christopher -Chris- Densham in: Anonymous et al. 2010.03.29 Mss: Diary (current) 2010.doc: 15th February). CULTURAL HISTORY - human use: Unless the observation of a path with red paint testifies to the occasional existence of people eating kwai while walking in the open air, it may indicate something else (note 2).ons (Lymoh gorge, Enle gorge) --where it does not lie-- but also at the end of the day --where it lies till today (Bridget E. EXPLORATION HISTORY: 2010.02.15: Bridget E. Hall, Christopher 'Chris' Densham, Cdr. Vijay Chhikara and Pankaj Rai … recced south of the two canyons other teams were exploring that day adjacent to the Kopili River. They found a lot of karst features but no obvious entrances, they GPS’d the position of a large doline located at the end of the day but unexplored (Anonymous et al. 2010.03.29 Mss: Diary (current) 2010.doc).
