No locally known name has been identified for a small hole, 1 x 2 m (Ludwig 2004.02.19 Mss: Don't Step on the Bamboo Pot). ETYMOLOGY: Simon J. Brooks (undated Mss amendment to Ludwig 2004.02.19 Mss: Don't Step on the Bamboo Pot) points out that this cave name has been Made up name by original explorers. SITUATION: The original explorers (Burke 2004.02.19 Mss: Rotten Bamboo) located Rotten Bamboo (Pot) estimated 20 m down from Noman's Pot while they place Don't Step On The Bamboo Pot estimated 30 m below Rotten Bamboo (Pot). POSITION: According to the only recorded GPS position (Burke 2004.02.19), this Rotten Bamboo Pot (110.2 m long, 44 m deep, connecting to Krem Liat Prah) lies at almost the same position as –>Don't Step On The Bamboo Pot (55 m long, connecting to Krem Liat Prah) and –>Noman's Pot (244.17 m long, 104 m deep). Don't Step on the Bamboo N25°21'49.5”: E92°31'45.6” (±35 m) Noman's Pot N25°21'49.3”: E92°31'44.7” (±10 bogus) Rotten Bamboo N25°21*$50.2”: E92°31'44.8” (±24 m) APPROACH (Burke 2004.02.19 Mss: Rotten Bamboo): Down gully from Noman's pot for approx. 20 m. CAVE DESCRIPTION 1 (Burke 2004.02.19 Mss: Rotten Bamboo), literally quoted: Feb 2004 the pot contained a clumb of dead and rotting bamboo. Pothole at bottom of depression 5 m wide surrounded by rock. Pothole 2 m wide by 3 m long [deleted: estimated 20+ deep]. 27 m pitch to rift chamber 10 x 20 chamber / passage is followed down steps / rock ledges to 2nd pitch -36 m to arrive in snowmans passage of Liat Prah some 40 m to south of snowman formation. CAVE DESCRIPTION 2 (after Brooks 2004.09.23 personal correspondence): A vertical drop of about 100 m (-35 m in rift, free-climb, -50 m) into small sized, wet and muddy passages to a sump. CAVE DESCRIPTION 3 (Arbenz, T 2004.02 Mss: Abstracts.xls): Rotten Bamboo Pot, Shnongrim N25°21'50.2”: E092°31'44.8”, length: 110.16 m, vertical: 44 m, discovered on 19.02.2004 by PL, DB; comment: into Liat Prah.

EXPLORATION HISTORY: 2004.02.19: Peter Ludwig (Ludwig 2004.02.19 Mss) and Daniel 'Danny' Burke discover Don't step on the Bamboo Pot while searching for Snowman's Pot (Liat Prah cave system). 2004.02.28: Peter Ludwig and Rainer Hoss rigged, descended, surveyed 55 m (Arbenz, T 2004.02 Mss: Abstracts.xls), and explored a new entrance into the Krem Liat Prah cave system (Brooks undated circa 2005.03.01 Mss amendment to Ludwig 2004.02.19 Mss).
