Description
One of all these cave entrances with an unidentified shape, unspecified dimensions and inexplicable characteristic peculiarities was said to give access to a pothole which intersects sort of a cave passage and allows to negotiate obstacles on an underground route via Krem –>Wah Luko 2 to Krem –>Umthluh, Tongseng. ETYMOLOGY: The Latin -scurra- (f) is a barn and -scurra- (m) a baffoon, fop, punch while the Latin verb -scurror- means to sponge. SITUATION: Members of a gang of expedition cavers, who were for the time being interned in a secluded reservate, were able to notice that the known cave entrance to the third Krem Wah Luko lies exactly within walking distance of the camp (JARRATT, A R & DAWSON, H 2007). POSITION: One pohsition (sic!) near N25°20'26.0”: E92°30'31.4” (WGS84 unidentified precision error, unidentified elevation (anonymous recorder, undated February 2008, unidentified GPS receiver) is for the so-called Scurion Pitch (Arbenz, T 2008.04.12 personal correspondence: poition wah luko 2) tells me ) which had been nicknamed Daylight Shaft earlier. CAVE DESCRIPTION: Krem Wah Lukor 3 (Krem Wah Luko 3) is a 100 m daylight shaft which allows expedition cavers to enter not only Krem –>Wah Lukor 2 (about halfway up) but also the new pot Krem –>Wah Lukor 4 into the roof of the aven (anonymous Brooks, S J et al. 2007.03.01 Mss 2007.02.19 Diary2007.doc). JARRATT & DAWSON (2007): Krem Wah Lukor 1, located within walking distance of the camp. This [the camp?] turned out to be a 9 m deep blind pot with a narrow shaft to one side which has yet to be dropped and will connect with the adjacent Krem Wah Lukor 2 where a 30 m pot was dropped into a series of horizontal passages intersecting a deep daylight shaft, Krem Wah Lukor 3, 17 m above the floor. The cave had a good feeling about it. Krem Wah Luko 2 descends to a ledge with a stunning view of the Pinetree Pot daylight shaft, Krem Wah Lukor 3 (note 1) next to one open shaft in the jungle where a 1.5 m long snake hd earlier been seen. Somewhere around here or there is a next pitch where Anthony 'Tony' R Jarratt saw on 26th February 2007 Henry appear high in the ceiling of a towering aven offset from the daylight shaft. The -Snake Shaft” was not the correct one but had also connected (Expedition link number twelve) via a window reached by a desperately exposed traverse above a blind, 40 m deep shaft. It thus became Krem Wah Lukor 4.d earlier been seen.
