Description

Herbert Daniel Gebauer - 28/04/2016

Man-made »cave temples« (rock-cut chamber used for religious purposes) reported Rev. J.E. ABBOT (1891) from a place called »Nenavli« (note 1) somewhere south-west of Karle, Karla or Karli (village at N18°45': E073°29' and »cave« at N18°47': E073°28').

Herbert Daniel Gebauer - 28/04/2016

NOTE 1: »Nenavli« (ABBOT 1891) is not identified unless it corresponds with Lonavla (N18°45': E073°25') or with Malavli (N18°44': E073°29') or with the caves at –>Nanoli --all falling on the India Road Atlas (Eicher Goodearth 2006: 90 B2)
