SIEJ NGAP, Larket (Krem)

An unspecified cave entrance (unidentified shape, unidentified dimensions, unidentified orientation, unidentified characteristics) is said to give access to a cave called Krem Siej Ngap (Kharpran Daly, B D 2012.02.12 personal communication with Mesik Pakem, Larket village headman, in: anonymous Arbenz, T et al. 2013.08.07 Mss: Diary 2012.doc for Sunday 12th February 2012). ETYMOLOGY: The origin and meaning of the Synteng Khasi (Pnar) cave name -Krem Siej Ngap- has not yet been discovered but seems to indicate rather a location than a specific cave name as it refers to a (growth of?) bamboo (note 1) that has something to do with either a bee (note 2), a honey (note 3) or a cheek (note 4).
