Description
An approximately 2 m entrance with sandy floor (unidentified shape, an estimated 12 m across, unidentified orientation) is said to give access to a relatively short climb 5 m down over loose shale into a solitary cave chamber which leads to a space that is choked with unspecified kind of fill to a degree making movement difficult or impossible. ETYMOLOGY: Apparently another Lost Dog Cave (note 1). SITUATION: The relatively shallow rock shelter was understood to lie half an hour's walk up from stream bed [no name mentioned, possibly: Um Jasew] along footpath on side of valley – partly slabbed then turning to earth and rock through forest (Stead, J. 2002.02.08 Mss [deleted Casew] Jasew I - 8/2/2) CAVE DESCRIPTION: An overhanging rock (12 m across) in front of an approximately 2 m entrance with sandy floor to an about 5 m descent over loose shale. Choked at about 10 m. CAVE CLIMATE: In the monsoon mist rises from the entrance and water comes down the streamway (Aibor Shongwan 2002.02.0 personal communication). personal communication).
